Diseases and Disorders of the Colon

Unhealthy Colon - Diseases and Disorders The diseases of the colon can be genetic in nature or result form the diet or lifestyle of the person.

The illnesses that result from diet and lifestyle can be improved through regular colon cleansing to help move food along, and rid the intestine of any impurities or toxins.

It is quite common for many people suffering form a colonic disease to see improvements after having their colon cleaned.

Not only can the diseases of the colon be divided into those occurring genetically or from the diet/lifestyle, but they are also described according to how they affect the colon. The diseases of the colon that are considered the functional disorders include constipation and irritable bowel disease, which is also known as spastic colon.

The diseases of the colon that are considered to be structural disorders include hemorrhoids, fissures, diverticular disease, colon polyps, colitis, and colon cancer.
